Aash Durg is a 21-year-old Guitarist, composer, band leader, and educator currently studying as a senior in the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music Jazz Department. He has played in the Frost Concert Jazz Band directed by multi-GRAMMY-winner John Daversa. He was also the guitarist in the award-winning Funk-Fusion ensemble directed by former Bee Gees drummer Steve Rucker. He has played alongside Dick Oatts, Terrell Stafford, and Regina Carter and has studied under the critically acclaimed Marcus Strickland and John Hart. He is a passionate musician who aims to cut a niche in the jazz world by gathering inspiration from his contemporary and world music background.
