Paul’s love of music started when he was in middle school back in his hometown of Mystic, CT and was supported by his parents, teachers, and classmates. He began playing music at 8 years old. First, he started on drums. Then he picked up the bass at 11. He started out playing classic rock, blues and reggae on both bass and drums. Later on in high school, Paul was introduced to some jazz records that his dad owned. He quickly fell in love with the genre. Around that time, bass became Paul’s primary instrument, and music went from being a hobby to a passion, and is now his career. He is currently studying Studio Music and Jazz Bass at the Frost School of Music under the direction of Dr. Charles Bergeron, and has been gigging regularly around Miami and South Florida for the past three years.

To me being able to play music is incredibly special, and I love it when my students have that experience. I also love introducing my students to new kinds of music, as well having my students introduce me to new kinds of music.
