Sophia’s passion for music began at a young age. Thus, she began taking piano lessons when she was 8 years old. Plus, she began taking voice lessons soon after.

In high school, Sophia committed to classical singing. And, she was accepted into the Texas All State Choir numerous times. She went on to attend University of Miami Frost School of Music. Currently, she is studying Music Education and Vocal Performance under soprano, Sandra Lopez Neill. Sophia is a member of the Frost Opera Theatre and Frost Chorale.

Started Music Career:

Sophia began singing at age 3. Then, her first piano lesson at age 8.


Sophia is in her final year of at the University of Miami. Additionally, she is pursuing her BME in Music Education and Vocal Performance.

Area of Focus: 

Classical Singing, Opera, Sight-Singing, Ear Training.

Favorite Aspect of Teaching:

I treasure students’ “ah-ha” moments. Also, I love facilitating a student’s discovery of their own gifts. It’s exciting when students can measure their improvement. Moreover, I enjoy empowering them to practice and work through to mastery.


Sophia has performed in many areas. She’s sung throughout Dallas, Miami, and Valencia, Spain. Furthermore, she performed as a Studio Artist with Miami Music Festival in Miami Beach. Also, she performed with Boston Conservatory’s Opera Theatre in multiple locations in Valencia, Spain. Additionally, she performed at Miami’s Arsht Center in the Celebration of Women in the Arts. She shared the stage with Chita Rivera, Vanessa Williams. Sophia frequently performs with Frost Opera Theatre and Frost Chorale as well.
