Background:
Byanca Aleman is a singer, composer, and music educator based in Miami, Florida. She was born in Managua, Nicaragua, where she lived most of her life until she moved to Miami in 2014. She was involved in band during middle school where she played clarinet, and was also involved in choir through her high school years. She also gained experience performing musical theatre while pursuing her Associate’s Degree in Music Education at Miami Dade College! She studied Classical Voice under professor Amy Davis, as well as piano under professor Maria Borges.
Started Music Career:
Byanca first discovered music in her native country, Nicaragua, through video game music! Her first exposure to playing music was the recorder and singing. Once in the United States, Byanca got involved with her middle school band, where she discovered her love for the clarinet. She soon after discovered a passion for singing as well, singing with her high school chorus!
Education:
Byanca earned an Associate of Arts in Music Education from Miami Dade College. She is currently a junior pursuing a Bachelor of Music Education at Florida International University.

Performance:
Byanca has performed in several full-scale musical stage productions and Opera/Musical Theatre scenes at MDC Wolfson Campus! She made her theatrical musical performance debut in Jason Robert Brown’s in “Songs for A New World”, in addition to the roles of Anastasia from “Anastasia the Musical” and Daniela from “In the Heights” in scene excerpt performances! Most recently, she played the role of Meg/Clarissa in “Little Women”!
