Started Music Career:
Christopher was introduced to the world of music by his dad, who enjoyed sharing the music of his favorite bands of 1960s – 1980s, as well as his sister, who sang in choir at school. These influences solidified his love of music, and he joined choir in school at the age of 8. Over the years, his passion for music intensified, and he decided eventually to pursue a career as a music teacher and performer!
Christopher holds an Associate of Arts in Music from Miami Dade College (MDC) and a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Florida International University (FIU), where he is also currently seeking his Master of Music in Jazz Vocal Performance.
Areas of Focus:
Pop, rock, folk, musical theater, jazz, music education
Favorite Aspect of teaching:
Christopher loves to make music with his students, not just teach them! This encourages students to utilize creative and critical thinking skills to understand music, as well as being lots of fun!
Christopher sings professionally with the North Star Pop & Jazz ensemble and the Greater Miami Symphonic Band at the Biltmore Golf Course for the 4th of July, an annual event which draws 3,000 attendees.
